Documentary photojournalist Menno Meijer has been documenting life for 17 years across Canada and around the world.
His work has appeared in most of Canada's major publications and his international work has been purchased by CIDA and the UNDP. Meijer's striking documentary photographs have been exhibited in Canada and internationally in New York City, Washington D.C., Amsterdam and Minsk.
A segment of his project documenting Canadian healthcare from birth to death was published as Soldiers Inside, a book of life in a Canadian hospital. The Globe and Mail's Krista Foss said, "Menno Meijer's seven-month photographic tour of an Ontario community hospital is a gritty, gutsy valentine to Canadian health care."
Meijer's ability to capture intimate and emotional moments has earned him numerous awards and a reputation for compassionate and professional photojournalism.
